Diormas at Groundwaves and Action Art at Ka’Lab!

We have had some great collaborations this spring! At the National Public Housing Museum, we partnered with Groundwaves to facilitate a diorama-making workshop centered on the theme of “home.” Participants of all ages used art and storytelling to explore what home means to them, creating miniature worlds that reflected personal memories, family traditions, neighborhoods.

We also collaborated with Ka’Lab to facilitate an art workshop as part of the Art Institute of Chicago's Project Windows Initiative. Bronzeville community members came together to engage in “Action Art” inspired by the work of Willem DeKooning. You can see a video here.
