No Litter No Critters!
Bronzeville Green Youth Initiative 2026 happened in May! We were thrilled to partner once again with Quad Communities Development Corporation to bring a series of interactive workshops to students at Martin Luther King Prep High School, Reavis Elementary School, and Jackie Robinson Elementary School in Chicago's Bronzeville community.
Our workshops always explore the 3Es: the ecological, economic, and emotional impacts of litter on our neighborhoods. Through hands-on activities students examined how litter affects community well-being and considered the role they can play in creating cleaner, healthier public spaces.
Students developed original slogans for this anti-litter campaign, using their voices and ideas to inspire positive change. Their creativity came to life during our Day of Action on May 8, when students participated in gelli printing workshops led by artist Alexandra Antoine. Today, these student-created posters can be seen displayed throughout Bronzeville!
We are incredibly proud of the students' commitment to making a difference and building a cleaner, more connected Bronzeville.
